About Temple Quest Spinfinity

Temple Quest Spinfinity is a video slot from Big Time Gaming, and this Aztec-themed slot machine is an excellent addition to their game range. There’s an unlimited number of spins available in the Free Spins Bonus, and giant 4X4 symbols can help you land some massive wins. Find out all about the game and how it works here, in our Temple Quest Spinfinity slot review.

We’ve seen Big Time Gaming release a number of well-designed slots, and Temple Quest Spinfinity is no exception. The Australian-based developer have clearly put a lot of time and effort into the game’s development, and some great-looking graphics and an exciting bonus feature make it all the more playable. Like most of BTG’s slots, there’s also some insane win-potential – and you can learn more about this in the ‘Bonuses and Features’ section of this post, later on. First, let’s look at how the game’s built.

Temple Quest Spinfinity is a 5-reel, 4-row video slot with 40 paylines. It’s playable from as little as 10p per spin, and as much as £50, and like most of the developer’s games, it’s fully mobile-optimized, so you can enjoy the action from most smartphones and tablets. The game carries a fixed RTP of 96.17%.

Big Time Gaming have clearly put their graphics team to work, and as a result, Temple Quest Spinfinity certainly looks the part. The game’s reels are set on an ancient aztec backdrop, and you’ll see flowing waterfalls on each side of the reels. There’s some old statues visible at the top of the screen, and the reels themselves look to be set in an old temple. There’s also a fitting soundtrack accompanying each spin, and BTG’s famed ‘big win’ music is present, too!

Temple Quest Spinfinity’s Symbols and Payouts

Temple Quest Spinfinity’s low-value symbols are all represented by playing card values. You’ll see a Queen, King, and Ace – and they’re not worth getting too excited about, as a 5-of-a-kind combo of the Ace pays just 0.8X your stake. The higher-value symbols are theme-specific, and include a Green Jewel, an Aztec Bird, and an Aztec Priest’s Headdress. The wild symbol is the highest-paying symbol in the game, and matching a 5-of-a-kind combo will award you a payout of 37.5X your stake.

There’s also a Mystery Symbol present on the reels. This is represented by an Aztec Temple, and it can appear on the reels as a 2X2, 3X3, and 4X4 symbol. When it lands in view, it will transform into any of the game’s symbols, and it can also reveal the Free Spins scatter – which is the key to entering the main bonus round.

Bonuses and Features

Temple Quest Spinfinity has a couple of bonuses which you can learn all about below.

Mega Icons

On each spin, Mega Icon symbols can land in view. These are essentially gigantic symbols, up to 4X4 that can land on the latter four reels. When one of these Mega Icons lands either fully or partially in view, it will reveal identical symbols – and it’s also how the Free Spins Bonus is triggered.

Free Spins

The Free Spins Bonus is triggered when the Mega Icon reveals any number of the Free Spins scatter symbols. You are then awarded one free spin for each position occupied by one of the scatters.

During the free-spins, the first reel is populated by normal-sized symbols, while a giant 4X4 symbol is found on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. This makes it a lot easier to hit full screens and big wins – and more free-spins can be triggered if the Mega Free Spins icon lands in view.

Our Verdict

Temple Quest Spinfinity isn’t a bad game – and those with affinity for the kind of nuanced video slot that contains lots of different ‘working pars’ will be enraptured. Still, it’s hard not to feel as though Big Time Gaming have missed the boat with this release. The game plays OK, but without the Megaways mechanic, it feels a little boring. Still, BTG have created some massively successful non-Megaways machines, like Danger High Voltage for example – but unfortunately, Temple Quest Spinfinity just isn’t it.

Thankfully, the bonus isn’t particularly hard to trigger – we managed to land it twice in 100 spins during testing – but don’t expect the free-spins to pay much, often. Still, if you can land the giant wild during the bonus you can find yourself walking away with 200X+ wins. The game’s real potential, though, lies in the unlimited re-trigger during the feature. Lots of smaller wins accumulating is pretty much the only way you’re going to win big.A game from Big Time Gaming we’re much happier to recommend is White Rabbit. It utilises a very unique form of their Megaways engine – which becomes particularly relevant during the extigin Free Spins Bonus – and you can read all about it and play it free in our White Rabbit slot review.
