Sunbet Games

Sunbet Games is part of the Inplay Matrix company – Asia’s largest iGaming development company. Sunbet Games focuses exclusively on live dealer games, and their portfolio offers a number of common games, along with some unusual variations.

In this Sunbet Games live casino review, we’re going to take a look at what games the company offer. We’ll also look at the quality of their games, along with details on their dealers, languages spoken, and more. This will give you a comprehensive overview of the company, so you can decide if you want to give their games a go for yourself! Let’s begin by taking a look at some basic details about the company, and their background.

Best Sunbet Games Live Dealer Casino

Company Information and History

Inplay Matrix (the company behind Sunbet Games) was founded in 2009, initially offering a sportsbook – something the company felt was a necessary addition to the iGaming industry. With the help of their first exclusive partner – Sun City – the sportsbook was a success, and in 2012, the company was supporting 25 sportsbook operators.

Later that year, the company brought out their first Keno product – and in 2014, they partnered with Playtech, to deliver a range of Asian-themed slots to the Asian markets. Soon after, their live dealer casino was launched, under the Sunbet Games brand – and it’s proved to be successful, so far.

Sunbet Games hold a number of gambling licenses. Perhaps the most important one, is issued by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). This allows them to run their live casino studio from the Philippines. Their games are also tested independently, with a 3rd-party testing house to ensure their fairness and compliance with iGaming regulations.

Sunbet Games Live Casino Review: The Games

Sunbet Games offers a large range of live dealer games. Along with classics like Baccarat and Roulette, they also offer some Asian card games you won’t find anywhere else online. When creating this Sunbet Games live casino review, we wanted to learn about all of the games they offer. Find out all about them below:

Sunbet Games’ Live Baccarat

Sunbet Games offer a large number of Baccarat games – it’s by far, their most popular live casino game. All Baccarat tables can seat up to 7 players, and the usual selection of bet options are available. The player who places the highest bet can also squeeze a card if he or she wants to. Players have 40 seconds between game rounds to place bets. There’s also a detailed set of statics on the right-hand-side of the screen. Here, you can view the Game Route or the Bead Road.

Along with the regular Banker, Player and Tie bets, you can also bet on a Player/Banker Pair. Both bets pay 11/1. One of the things we really liked when writing this Sunbet Games live casino review was that it’s really easy to place side bets – one click of a button is all it takes.

Sunbet Games’ Live Dragon Tiger

Sunbet Games offer three Dragon Tiger tables – all with varying bet limits. Their version of Dragon Tiger is actually one of their clearest games – the table and betting grid is easy to view and unobstructed. Up to 7 players can be seated at the table at once.

There are only three betting options available – Dragon, Tiger, and Tie – and you won’t find any side bets. To the top right-hand-corner of the screen you’ll be able to view detailed game statistics.

Sunbet Games’ Live Roulette

Sunbet Games offer a European Roulette game in their live casino. This means the wheel has just a single zero. As a player, you’ll be able to enjoy a wide range of betting options – and this includes the regular grid betting along with a Racetrack.

We were also happy to see, while writing this Sunbet Games live casino review to see the developer shows a breakdown of past game rounds. There are also some pre-written chat messages you can use to (somewhat) talk with the other players.

Sunbet Games’ Live Bullfight

Bullfight (sometimes known as Bull Bull) is a popular Chinese card game that’s played in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan and Jiangsu-Zhejiang. The game is fast-paced and exciting – and it’s also quite easy to pick up. Sunbet Games’ live Bullfight offers players a range of betting options, including Player 1, Player 2, Player 3 and Double and Equal. Like most releases from Sunbet Games, Bullfight also allows you to view detailed game statistics from past rounds.

Sunbet Games’ Live Sic Bo

Sic Bo is a hugely popular dice game, and it can be found at a number of online casinos. Sunbet Games offer a variation of Sic Bo, and like most of their games it takes place on their classic green felt tables. Players are presented with a variety of betting options, and like most of heir games you can also choose to view a detailed game history. This shows you results from past game rounds.

Sunbet Games’ Live 3 Card Poker

3 Card Poker is a popular card game in Western casinos which is why we were surprised to see it offered in Sunbet Games’ live dealer casino. 3 Card Poker is an incredibly simple game to play – and you, as the player are dealt three cards. The dealer is also dealt three cards, and whoever has the best hand (according to Texas Hold’em hand rankings) wins!

There’s a side bet option offered by Sunbet Games – Pairs Plus – and this pays when you form a pair or better within your hand. Like most of the games we looked at when writing this Sunbet Games live casino review, we found you can also view detailed game history.

Sunbet Games’ Live Mahjong

Mahjong is a popular Asian game played using tiles – and up until now, it was incredibly hard to find it at a live casino. (We believe Mahjong Pai Gow from Playtech was the only other game available.)

Sunbet Games have decided to release their own live Mahjong game – and it’s available right now in their live dealer casino. In Mahjong, there are a total of three player positions. Each position offers a number of betting options including Win, Lose, Tie, and Pair bets. The stack of tiles is shuffled every 5 rounds.

While the game can be a bit confusing to get your head around, once you know what you’re doing it’s a walk in the park. Plus, there are game instructions available as well for you to read.

Streaming Quality

Sunbet Games’ technology allows you to choose to play in either 480 or 720p. If you find your connection is lagging, then consider the 480p option. We spent quite a bit of time playing their games while writing this Sunbet Games live casino review, and for the most part, we were impressed. The games were pretty quick, and our betting actions registered with the software every time.

However, it’s fair to say their user interface is pretty dated – and the graphics across many of their live dealer games are pixelated. Most of their games will also require Flash to run – something which leading software providers have pretty much phased out. It’s not all bad news, but just be aware that there are better developers out there in terms of streaming quality and graphical interfaces.

Playing Interface and Betting Options

Like most Asian-focused live casino providers, Sunbet Games’ interface is cluttered and basic. When writing this Sunbet Games live casino review, we were unphased to see that all of their games are accessed through a dedicated lobby area. Here, you’ll see a brief overview of the games, and there are three bet ranges tro choose between.

Something we did like was the “All-In-One” game option within the lobby. If you choose this option you’ll be able to play up to six tables at once. However, we found that playing more than three greatly decreases the speed at which the software operates, so bear this in mind.

The games themselves are a little dated – not as bad as we’ve seen from other Asian providers, but nowhere near the quality we’ve come to expect from the likes of NetEnt and Evolution Gaming. There’s a pre-recorded voice which lets you know when betting rounds begin and end – and it also calls out the results of the games.

The betting options/table limits remain the same regardless of where you play Sunbet Games’ live dealer games. You’ll find yourself able to play from as little as 5 credits per game/hand, and as much as 1,000.

Languages Offered

Like many Asian live casino providers, Sunbet’s dealers don’t actually speak. We found this to be quite strange when we were writing this Sunbet Games live casino review.

While it may seem odd at first, you soon get used to it. In fact, it seems to work quite well once you get accustomed to it. It’s just a bit different. The actual user interface is available in a number of languages, including English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese and Indonesian.

Sunbet Games Live Mobile Casino Review

All of Sunbet’s live casino games are – supposedly – available to mobile users. The developer’s websites states that players using iOS, Android, and Windows mobile devices should have no problems playing the games. Unfortunately, though, we only managed to find Live Baccarat available to play from a mobile device. Furthermore, while Sunbet claim their mobile games can be played in both portrait and landscape, for us, Baccarat only displayed in portrait mode.

Because of this, we can’t really offer much of a review in terms of their mobile gaming capabilities. Going on what we saw in Baccarat though, we were quite impressed – a feeling that was maintained for the majority of the time we spent writing this Sunbet Games live casino review.

The video feed is positioned at the top of the screen, and the betting table – along with the bet size options – are found at the bottom of the screen. Once the dealer draws the cards, digitized images of the cards will appear on both sides of the screen.

Sunbet Games’ Live Dealers

Sunbet’s dealers are all attractive females – you won’t find any male croupiers dealing their games! As mentioned above, the dealers don’t actually say anything either. This does dampen the experience a little bit, but the dealers do their best to look cheery – and they’re almost always smiling. Still, the dealers definitely know how to do their job, and their handle of the games is superb – we don’t have any complaints with the way the dealers act or deal.

Sunbet Games Live Casino Review: Our Thoughts

Sunbet Games are a decent outfit and they’ve build a pretty good live casino platform. While you probably won’t come across their games unless you’re based in Asia, Sunbet Games have hinted at expanding in European countries in the future.

We were impressed with the game range Sunbet Games offered. Pretty much the only ‘staple’ games missing were Blackjack and Roulette, although both are rarely played in Asia. This is made up for, however, by some unique games like Bullfight and Mahjong.

One of the things that stood out most to us when we were writing this Sunbet Games live casino review was their interfaces. We found them to be quite cluttered, and there’s a lot of text on the screen. This can make it challenging to familiarise yourself with it all, and it can take some getting use to.

Few online casinos currently offer Sunbet Games’ software – but there are a few, and if you’d like to play their games for yourself you can check them out at any of the sites listed below.
